In partnership with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society, Bagong Henerasyon has successfully lobbied the Quezon City Government to establish its Animal Control Facility or Dog Pound to ensure safety of its residents from dog bites particularly from rabied dogs. The QC Pound is now successfully operating in Payatas. They also pushed for the implementation of RA 9482 and QC Ordinance SP#1638, S-2005, authored by former Councilor Bernadette Herrera-Dy on dog registration with free Rabies Vaccination. To date, more than 5,000 dogs have been registered, all with Dog Certificates and Dog Tags and this is continuously being implemented by the Quezon City Government.
*Establishing the BARANGAY POUND
In the line with the successful Dog Registration Campaign under SPL# 1638, authorized by Councilor BH and through the courtesy of the Office of Cong. Bingbong Crisologo, 111 Dog Cages were distributed to thirty seven (37) barangays District 1, to temporarily house stray dogs (in 3 days) in the community while waiting for owners to claim their Dogs.
